Diving With Sharks

Hawaii is well known for its amazing
shark diving opportunities. If you happen to be going to Hawaii, you should make it a point to play with the
sharks. Honestly, this will be something you will never forget.
Hawaii has 132 islands, most of which
are small, but Oahu and Maui have the best shark diving waters. You will see many different species of sharks
in Hawaii. Out of the 40+ species of sharks, the most popular are the sandbar, reef white tip, hammer head,
and sometimes the infamous tiger shark. Sometimes if you are lucky you can get a chance to swim next to a
gigantic whale shark.

The ocean waters around Hawaii are
extremely clear and can give you good visibility up to 200 feet on good days. Just that alone makes these
waters extremely special.
If you are looking for something
exciting, go to Oahu where you can go on a caged shark dive. You will be extremely close to hungry and
aggressive sharks. Imagine floating inside a cage with 20 foot long predators feeding on cut fish and banging
off the cage.
The number one dive spot in Hawaii is in
Maui. Here you can do some great reef diving and see some volcanic craters that were created many years ago.
But this is the place where you are most likely to encounter the whale shark. You won’t be able to find one
all the time but if you do, it will blow your mind at how massive these beasts are.
For some people the risks associated
with swimming with sharks is too much for them. For them I recommend that they try swimming in the million
gallon fish tanks at the Ocean Center Aquarium. Here you can also see sharks and sting rays from a
distance.
This might be the best thing you do in
Hawaii and I’m sure that you won’t regret it.
